Privacy policy for the Rarest Krill mobile apps
Last updated: 2026-10-15
Rarest Krill's iOS and Android apps are operated by AFK LLC, responsible for the personal data described here. For support or privacy requests, contact support@rarefind.io.
Publisher's address: 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, US.
This policy covers the Rarest Krill mobile apps and the online authentication, game, account and purchase services they use. Our website has its own privacy policy for its own features, which differ from the mobile features explained below.
Rarest Krill is intended for players aged 13 and over. The age rating displayed by each app store is determined separately and may impose a higher age restriction. Follow the applicable store and account restrictions.
Your account
Playing requires a Rarest Krill account. A free account includes 3 games a day; Premium removes the daily limit. The app processes your email address, account identifier and authentication session to create or access your account, retrieve your available games and recognise existing Rarest Krill Premium access. Earlier versions of the apps let you try a limited guest dive without an account; the current versions do not. If an earlier version is still used, its guest dive is counted with the network-address fingerprint described under Answer statistics and network information.
The app offers sign-in with a six-digit code sent by email, password sign-in for accounts that already have a password, “Continue with Google” and, on iPhone and iPad, “Continue with Apple”. Requesting and verifying an email code, or continuing with Apple or Google, can create an account. Our database and authentication host (European Union) handles authentication and the requested sign-in email flow. When you request an email code, the app sends your email address to Rarest Krill's server, which asks that host to send the code; sign-in messages are delivered by our email delivery provider. To limit how many codes can be requested for one address and from one network, the server keeps a keyed fingerprint of the email address and of the network address with each request; these records expire after one hour and are then deleted automatically. A sign-in message is sent to complete the account access you requested.
Sign in with Apple (iPhone and iPad)
“Continue with Apple” uses Sign in with Apple. Apple shows its own sign-in sheet; Rarest Krill never receives your Apple Account password. If you continue, Apple gives Rarest Krill an identifier that Apple creates for Rarest Krill's developer team, an email address and whether Apple has verified it, and, at the first authorization only, the name you choose to share. If you choose to hide your email, Apple creates a relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com that forwards Rarest Krill's messages to your own address; Rarest Krill only sees the relay address, which becomes your account email. An account opened with a relay address is separate from an account opened with your own address: to keep an existing account and its access, sign in again with the method you used before.
Our authentication service verifies Apple's signed identity token, which carries a single-use random value generated by the app, and stores the Apple identifier, the email address and its verification status in your Rarest Krill account record. When Apple shares your name, the app saves it in that record if it has no name yet; the app does not display it. The app then sends Apple's single-use authorization code to Rarest Krill's server, which exchanges it with Apple for a refresh token, stores that token encrypted and linked to your account and Apple identifier, and uses it only to revoke Rarest Krill's access with Apple when you delete your account. On your device, the app keeps your Apple identifier and the Rarest Krill account it signed in to, in the iOS Keychain, so that it can sign you out of Rarest Krill on that device if you stop using Sign in with Apple with Rarest Krill; signing out removes them. The app keeps no Apple token or authorization code on your device. The authentication session it stores (see Session on your device) contains a copy of your account data, including your email address and, if it was saved, the name Apple shared; signing out removes it. Apple processes the data involved in Sign in with Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
You can stop using Sign in with Apple with Rarest Krill on your iPhone or iPad in Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple: select Rarest Krill, then tap Delete (Apple's instructions). The app then signs you out of Rarest Krill on that device. This does not delete your Rarest Krill account or its data: to delete them, see Retention and deletion. If you turn off forwarding for a relay address, Rarest Krill's sign-in codes and announcements no longer reach you.
Continue with Google
“Continue with Google” uses the Google sign-in of our authentication service. On Android it opens Google's sign-in page in a browser tab on your device. On iPhone and iPad it opens it in the system sign-in sheet: iOS first asks whether Rarest Krill may use the address of our authentication service to sign in, and the sheet can reuse a Google session already open in Safari. Google's screen can name that address as the site requesting access. If you choose a Google account and continue, Rarest Krill receives from Google, through our authentication service, your Google account identifier, your email address and whether Google has verified it, your name and the address (URL) of your Google profile picture. Our authentication service stores them in your Rarest Krill account record. Rarest Krill uses them to create your account and sign you in; signing in with Google can create an account. Your email address then becomes your account email and is used as described in this policy. The app does not display your name or profile picture; our website can show them in its account menu when you sign in there. Rarest Krill does not receive your Google password and requests no Google data beyond your basic profile and email address. Google processes the data involved in your Google sign-in under Google's privacy policy. Signing out of Rarest Krill does not sign you out of Google. Deleting your account in the app (Account → Data → Delete my account) removes this information with your authentication account.
Session on your device
The mobile app stores its authentication session in the iOS Keychain or in encrypted Android storage protected by Android Keystore. Signing out removes the app's stored authentication credentials. It does not delete your account or server-side game history.
Gameplay and results
Playing requires an Internet connection. The app sends the selected language and mode, game and question identifiers, game-start identifiers and submitted answers to Rarest Krill's online services. Authenticated requests also identify the signed-in account. These services provide questions, score answers, enforce allowances, prevent repeated game starts from using a second allowance and save account features.
When a signed-in dive is synchronised, Rarest Krill stores its identifier, mode, game identifier, score, depth and completion time. This history feature uploads a summary rather than the complete round-by-round local dive log. Scoring and shared-game services separately process answers. Practice Dive and Double Dive keep each run on the server, linked to your account (its questions, the answers you bank and its score), so that the run can be resumed and your recent runs in these modes can be shown; a run can no longer be continued after seven days, and these records are deleted with your account.
The app also sends identifiers of previously seen and recent pack games when requesting a selection. Together with available account history, these help select a dive and reduce repeated questions.
Recognised answers from a signed-in Daily Dive can appear on the following day's public leaderboard under a generated diver alias. Published answers use recognised catalogue forms; the leaderboard does not display your email address or the raw text you typed.
Private Battle, Challenge Link and Crew Dive services process participant identifiers, game context, timing and results. Their shared services can also process a nickname previously set through the website. In the iOS app, participant lists, rankings and round results show generated numbered diver labels instead of profile nicknames. The Android app and website can show the website-set nickname. Participants can see scores and recognised publisher-catalogue answers according to the mode's reveal rules. The native mobile app has no nickname editor, general text chat, voice chat or photo/video upload.
Answer statistics and network information
The scoring service measures answers to improve the catalogue and understand answer frequency. It can retain filtered, normalised forms of unrecognised answers and counts of recognised catalogue answers. Recognised-answer counts use a keyed player fingerprint to count distinct players. In the native scoring path without a browser authentication cookie, this fingerprint is derived from the network-address fingerprint. This is server-side measurement even though the mobile app does not contain a general-purpose analytics SDK.
Hosting, delivery and authentication services receive the IP address and request information needed to provide online services, and can keep them in their security and access logs. Rarest Krill's game logic computes a keyed network-address fingerprint for allowances, abuse prevention and answer measurement. For an app account signed in with a confirmed email, the daily allowance is counted with a keyed account identifier instead of the network-address fingerprint. Game starts also use account and request identifiers. Hashing and pseudonyms reduce direct exposure of identifiers; they do not mean that no data is collected or that every related record is anonymous.
Daily counters keyed by the network-address fingerprint, for example for a guest dive played with an earlier app version, are also included in Rarest Krill's internal aggregate audience, retention, conversion and daily activity statistics, where each network counts as one visitor, including on the later days it returns. These statistics are for Rarest Krill's own use: the fingerprint is not sold, not shared with third parties for their own purposes and not used for advertising.
Rarest Krill also uses account records for its own internal reports, shown on an administration page reserved for Rarest Krill: accounts by creation date, sign-in method and email confirmation, accounts active per day, week and month, games started and completed, scores, last activity or sign-in, purchases and conversion to Premium. A list of the most active accounts shows their email address, account creation date, game counts, scores, last activity and purchases. These reports are computed from the records described in this policy and follow their retention. They are used to run and improve Rarest Krill, are not shared with third parties and are not used for advertising.
Recent versions of the app also create a random installation identifier the first time they run and keep it in the app's preferences on the device. The app sends it in a request header with its requests to Rarest Krill's game and account service. The current Rarest Krill service does not use this identifier: it does not read it, store it or link it to your account, and does not use it to count allowances, for statistics or for advertising. Delivery and hosting services receive it in transit with the rest of the request. The identifier is not an advertising identifier and is not derived from hardware identifiers or from your account. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data erases it; the app then creates a new one. Rarest Krill will update this policy before using this identifier for any purpose.
Preferences, reminders and sharing
Language, sound and haptic preferences, reminder settings and the local dive log are stored on your device. Your selected language is also transmitted when requesting and scoring game content. Some account summaries are separately synchronised as described above.
Daily reminders are optional local notifications. If you enable them, the app requests notification permission and schedules a reminder for 7 pm in the device's local time. When you start a free trial of a store subscription, the app can ask for notification permission and, if you allow it, schedules one local reminder two days before the trial ends; the reminder is cancelled if the trial is cancelled, converted or expires. These features do not register a remote push token. You can turn daily reminders off in the app and manage notification permission in device settings.
Sharing a result or a room invitation opens the device's share controls at your request. You choose the destination. The app does not automatically send invitations to your contacts or read your address book. On iPhone and iPad, if you choose to save an image to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add it; the app only adds the image you chose and does not read your photo library.
On Android, the app can ask Google Play to show its in-app rating card. Any rating or review you leave there is handled by Google Play under Google's terms; the app does not receive its content.
Premium access, store purchases and restoration
The mobile apps recognise existing Rarest Krill Premium entitlement. The account service can associate a purchase with your verified account and process access and purchase records. On iPhone and iPad, the app offers an optional annual, automatically renewing Premium subscription, “Rarest Krill Unlimited (yearly)”, through Apple In-App Purchase when the product and service are available; see Apple annual subscriptions below. Android versions supporting Google Play billing offer an optional annual Google Play subscription; see Google Play annual subscriptions below. The store price and any purchase restrictions are displayed before you confirm. The one-time lifetime Premium product prepared for earlier iOS builds is no longer offered; any verified Apple lifetime purchase remains recognised and can be restored. Older Android versions recognise existing access without offering a native checkout.
Apple-billed purchases are subject to Apple's purchase terms and Standard EULA. A subscription taken out outside the app is managed where it was taken out. Apple handles refund requests under its terms and applicable consumer protections; Apple explains how to request a refund. Deleting the Rarest Krill account does not cancel an Apple subscription and does not refund an Apple purchase.
Before opening the Apple purchase or restoration flow, Rarest Krill checks your signed-in account and confirmed email through its authentication service. Its server prepares a purchase binding containing the original Rarest Krill account identifier and a private keyed fingerprint of the confirmed email. This preparation does not charge you or grant Premium. It preserves the link needed to process an interrupted or pending purchase and to restore a legitimate subscription or lifetime purchase if the original account is later deleted.
This preparation can remain even if you cancel the Apple payment sheet or do not complete a purchase. A preparation record is not proof that you bought Premium.
When an Apple purchase is requested, Apple receives an app-account token containing your Rarest Krill account UUID, together with information handled by the App Store to complete the transaction. Apple handles its payment and Apple Account flow. StoreKit does not send your payment-card details to Rarest Krill. Apple's services process data under Apple's privacy policy.
Rarest Krill receives Apple's signed transaction information, and for a subscription Apple's signed renewal information, from the app when you purchase, restore or return to the app, and from App Store Server Notifications (version 2) that Apple sends directly to Rarest Krill's server when a subscription starts, renews, fails to renew, enters or leaves a grace period, expires, is refunded or revoked, or when its automatic renewal is turned on or off. Rarest Krill verifies Apple's signatures before relying on this information and uses it to grant, renew, restore, suspend or revoke access. Purchase records include the product identifier, transaction and original transaction identifiers, the original and later app-account tokens, the associated Rarest Krill account identifier, the production or testing environment, purchase, expiry and signature dates, whether a period is a free trial, the entitlement and automatic-renewal state, billing-retry and grace-period information, the expiry reason reported by Apple, relevant refund or revocation information and record dates. Notification records include the notification identifier, type and subtype, environment, original transaction identifier, processing outcome and receipt date. Apple's signed information also contains details such as the price, currency and App Store country; Rarest Krill checks the signature and does not keep those details. The purchase ledger does not store the full signed payloads or your payment-card details. Purchases made in Apple's testing environment, used by TestFlight and App Review, give access only in the app.
The private email fingerprint is calculated using a server-held secret and the email confirmed by our authentication service. The purchase binding stores this fingerprint rather than a plaintext copy of your email; the authentication service still processes your account email as described above. The fingerprint and account identifiers are personal data used for purchase ownership, purchase security and recovery, not a claim that these records are anonymous. A current verified owner can update the binding when their verified account email changes.
Apple restoration is an explicit action: sign in to Rarest Krill, open Account → Already purchased? Restore my access (or Manage my access when Premium is active), then choose Restore Apple purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. After deleting and recreating a Rarest Krill account, use the same verified email previously bound to the purchase. Recovery requires a verified Apple transaction, a matching server purchase binding and an eligible deleted-owner record. A purchase assigned to another existing Rarest Krill account cannot be moved by simply supplying an email or purchase identifier. Restoring does not recreate deleted game history and does not reverse an Apple refund, revocation or expiry. Contact support@rarefind.io if you cannot access the original email, if a hidden Apple address has changed, or if the purchase cannot be verified.
Apple annual subscriptions
On iPhone and iPad, the app offers an optional annual Premium subscription billed by Apple when the product and service are available. The price and currency are supplied by the App Store and shown before confirmation; prices vary by country. New subscribers whose Apple Account is eligible may receive a one-week (7-day) free trial; Apple determines eligibility, and creating a new Rarest Krill account does not itself grant a trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically each year unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends.
To manage or cancel the subscription, open Account → Manage my access → Manage my Apple subscription, or Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad (shown as Apple ID on older iOS versions), and follow Apple's cancellation instructions. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to stop the next charge, and at least 24 hours before the free trial ends to avoid the annual charge. Cancelling stops future renewal; access continues until the end of the current period or free trial. Signing out, uninstalling Rarest Krill or deleting the Rarest Krill account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases under its terms and applicable consumer protections; see Apple's refund information. A subscription taken out outside the app is managed where it was taken out.
Apple handles its payment and Apple Account flow; Rarest Krill does not receive your payment-card details. Rarest Krill processes the subscription records described above to keep your access current, including renewals, billing problems, grace periods, expiry, refunds and revocations reported by Apple. These records support purchase ownership, restoration, renewals, refunds, expiry and billing security, and have no automatic fixed expiry in the current billing flow.
Google Play annual subscriptions
Android versions supporting Google Play billing offer optional annual Premium access when the product and service are available. The price and currency are supplied by Google Play and shown before confirmation. An eligible Google Play account may receive a 7-day free trial. After that trial, the full annual price is charged in one payment, and the subscription renews yearly until cancelled. Trial eligibility is determined by Google Play; creating a new Rarest Krill account does not itself grant a trial.
Use Account → Manage my access → Manage my Google Play subscription (Account → My Premium access in earlier versions of the app) to open Google Play subscription management, or follow Google's cancellation instructions. Cancel before the free trial ends to avoid its annual charge. Signing out, uninstalling Rarest Krill or deleting the Rarest Krill account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Google Play refund rules and applicable consumer protections govern refund requests; see Google Play's refund information. A subscription taken out outside the app is managed where it was taken out.
Before Google Play purchase verification or restoration, Rarest Krill checks your signed-in account and confirmed email. Its server prepares a binding with the original Rarest Krill account identifier and a private keyed fingerprint of the confirmed email. The app supplies Google Play with an opaque, keyed account identifier to associate a purchase with the correct Rarest Krill account. This identifier and the retained bindings are personal data; they are not anonymous. Preparation does not charge you or grant Premium, and a preparation binding can remain even if you cancel or do not complete a purchase.
Google handles its Google Account and payment flow. Rarest Krill does not receive payment-card details from Play Billing. Google processes data under Google's privacy policy. Rarest Krill receives a purchase token from the app and verifies the subscription with Google's server before relying on it for Premium access. Server notifications and further verification keep the subscription state current.
The Google billing ledger retains an encrypted purchase token, its private association with the original and current Rarest Krill account, a private keyed fingerprint of the verified email, purchase and product identifiers, plan, relevant dates, subscription and renewal state, trial/testing status, acknowledgement and verification records, and links between replaced purchases. Notification records retain a message identifier, relevant purchase-token fingerprint and receipt date. These records support purchase ownership, pending purchases, restoration, renewals, refunds, expiry and billing security. Raw purchase tokens and plaintext emails are not kept in this billing ledger; the authentication service separately holds the account email. These records have no automatic fixed expiry in the current billing flow. Their encrypted or keyed form does not make them anonymous.
Restoration is an explicit action: sign in to Rarest Krill, open Account → Already purchased? Restore my access (Account → My Premium access in earlier versions of the app), then choose Restore Google Play purchases, using the Google Account that made the purchase. If the original Rarest Krill account was deleted, an eligible purchase can be recovered to a recreated account with the same verified email previously bound to it, after Google verification and server ownership checks. A purchase belonging to another existing Rarest Krill account cannot be transferred this way. Restoration does not recover deleted game history or undo a refund, revocation or expired access. Contact support@rarefind.io if verification or email access is interrupted.
Providers, announcements and external pages
Our database and authentication host (European Union) provides authentication and database services. Rarest Krill's server, hosted in France, provides game, account and purchase verification services, with Cloudflare delivering and protecting online requests. Apple provides Sign in with Apple and its private email relay, iOS in-app purchases and restoration, subscription management and App Store Server Notifications. Google provides Android billing, subscription management and purchase verification services, and the optional Google sign-in. Our email delivery provider delivers sign-in messages and game announcements. A payment provider processes subscriptions taken out outside the app. These services receive the information needed for those tasks. Providers that process personal data on Rarest Krill's behalf, namely the database and authentication host (European Union), Cloudflare, the email delivery provider and the server host (France), do so only for these tasks, under data processing terms that require them to protect it at least as well as this policy describes. Apple and Google process the data of their own sign-in, store and payment services under their own privacy policies. Rarest Krill does not sell personal data. If you contact support, we use your email address and the information you include to handle your request.
Confirmed Rarest Krill accounts can receive announcements about the game and its offers. We use account email addresses (including Apple relay addresses), language, account creation dates and send records to deliver these messages through our email delivery provider. Each announcement provides an unsubscribe link. A minimal refusal record is retained to respect your choice and avoid sending further announcements. Requested sign-in messages and payment receipts are separate from announcements.
The mobile apps contain no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK and show no ads. They do not use the device's advertising identifier and do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Links to Rarest Krill's mobile pages (this policy, the mobile terms of use and the account deletion page) open pages that load no scripts, through the platform browser interface. On iPhone and iPad, the Terms of use link of the purchase screen opens Apple's Standard EULA. Current versions of the app open no other web page. The app has no feature requesting access to the camera, microphone, contacts or precise device location.
Legal bases
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Rarest Krill relies on the following legal bases for the processing described in this policy.
Performance of the contract (article 6(1)(b)): creating your account and signing you in, including with Apple or Google; providing games, scoring, allowances, synchronised history and the Battle, Challenge Link, Crew Dive, Practice Dive and Double Dive modes you use; recognising, verifying and restoring Premium access and store purchases; deleting your account when you ask, including the revocation of Sign in with Apple; and answering your support requests.
Legitimate interests (article 6(1)(f)): securing the service and preventing abuse (network-address fingerprints, limits on sign-in code requests, security logs); measuring answers to improve the catalogue; the daily public leaderboard under a generated alias; internal statistics and reports; keeping the purchase bindings and records needed to prove ownership of a purchase and restore an eligible purchase after an account is deleted; and sending announcements about the game and its offers to confirmed accounts, with the refusal record that keeps an unsubscribe effective. You can object to this processing as explained under Your rights and choices.
Legal obligations (article 6(1)(c)): keeping billing and accounting records where the law requires it, and handling requests to exercise your rights.
Device permissions: notifications and adding an image to Photos work only if you allow them in iOS or Android, and you can withdraw these permissions at any time in the device settings. The reminders and saved images stay on your device.
Where data is processed
Rarest Krill's server is hosted in France. The database and authentication are hosted in the European Union by our database and authentication host, and our email delivery provider sends sign-in messages and announcements from infrastructure located in the European Union. Cloudflare, Google and the payment provider are companies established in the United States, so part of the processing related to them can take place outside the European Union. For users in the European Union, Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases are provided by Apple Distribution International Ltd., established in Ireland; according to Apple's privacy policy, its transfers outside the European Union, in particular to Apple Inc. in the United States, rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Transfers to Cloudflare, Google and the payment provider rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which these companies have joined, and, where relevant, on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Security
The app's requests to Rarest Krill's services and to our database and authentication host use HTTPS. On iOS, App Transport Security requires encrypted connections; Android cleartext network traffic is disabled. Native authentication sessions use the protected storage described above. These measures protect transport and stored sessions; they are not a claim of independent security certification.
Retention and deletion
We keep account details and synchronised history while the account exists, subject to account deletion. Daily leaderboard cleanup removes entries older than 90 days in batches during game processing. The statistics cleanup process removes recognised-answer fingerprints older than 90 days and unrecognised answer forms seen only once that have not been seen for 90 days. Statistics remain until that cleanup runs. Normalised unrecognised forms seen repeatedly can be retained without a fixed expiry as a catalogue-improvement worklist.
Battle cleanup removes completed rooms after seven days and abandoned rooms after three hours of inactivity, in batches as room processing triggers cleanup. Challenge and Crew links expire after seven days; their records are removed at a later game creation or maintenance step. Expiry of a link and deletion of its records can therefore happen at different times. Daily counters use date-specific keys and can remain stored after the day has passed. Game-start receipts expire after one hour and are eligible for cleanup after a further seven days. Sign-in code request records expire after one hour and are then deleted automatically. Hosting, authentication, email and billing services may also hold records needed to deliver their services and meet applicable obligations.
To request account deletion in the app, sign in, open Account → Data → Delete my account, type what the confirmation field asks for (your account email address; for a hidden Apple address, the relay address or the confirmation word shown in the field) and confirm. You can also request account deletion without reinstalling the app by following the instructions at rarefind.io/rarest-krill/delete-account. Verification and confirmation protect against someone else deleting your account. You can contact support@rarefind.io for help with access or a privacy request.
Deleting an account removes identified account analytics, the authentication account (including the identifiers, email address and name received from Apple or Google) and linked game data. Confirming deletion and cancellation also cancels existing subscriptions taken out outside the app. Deleting your Rarest Krill account does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription and does not refund a store purchase; when a store subscription is active or set to renew, the app explains this and asks you to acknowledge it before deleting. If you signed in with Apple, Rarest Krill's server then asks Apple to revoke the refresh token it holds for Rarest Krill and deletes the token once Apple confirms. If Apple cannot be reached, the encrypted token is kept with its Apple identifier, without any link to an account, and revocation is retried automatically later; account deletion never waits for Apple. After revocation, Rarest Krill no longer appears among the apps using Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.
Limited purchase, subscription and invoice records can remain where needed for billing, fraud prevention, valid purchase ownership, restoration, refunds, disputes or applicable legal obligations. Apple purchase bindings, subscription and lifetime purchase records retain the original and later app-account tokens, relevant transaction and account identifiers, the private keyed email fingerprint, dates and status information after the live account link is removed. These records are kept separately from deleted game history so an interrupted or pending purchase can still be verified, a subscription can keep receiving Apple's updates, and an eligible deleted-account purchase can be restored. The current purchase flow has no automatic fixed expiry for these records; retention depends on the continuing ownership and recovery purpose and applicable obligations. A Sign in with Apple refresh token is kept, encrypted and unlinked from any account, only until Apple confirms its revocation. You can contact support@rarefind.io about these retained records and an applicable privacy request. This statement does not claim every retained record has a mandatory statutory retention period.
A retained announcement refusal record is used to respect an earlier unsubscribe request. Network-derived answer measurements are not directly attached to the account and can remain until statistics cleanup. Repeated normalised unrecognised answer forms can remain in the catalogue-improvement worklist as explained above.
Deleting a Rarest Krill account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. The app explains this and lets you acknowledge that the subscription continues before deleting the account. You can manage or cancel it in Google Play independently. Google billing identity and purchase records can remain after the account link is removed, including a preparation binding created before an incomplete purchase, so subscription updates, ownership and eligible deleted-owner recovery can be handled. These records do not restore deleted game history and currently have no automatic fixed retention period. Contact support@rarefind.io about retained records and applicable privacy requests.
To remove only the local log, choose Account → Data → Clear local dive log. That does not delete the account or records already synchronised to it. Local preferences and logs otherwise remain until you clear them or remove the app's data.
Your rights and choices
For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, write to support@rarefind.io and identify the account concerned. Applicable rights and limitations depend on your location and the processing involved. Under the GDPR, you can ask for access to your data and a copy of it, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing and portability of the data you provided, and you can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests. Rarest Krill answers within one month. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting on a request.
You can stop announcements with the unsubscribe link in each one or by writing to support@rarefind.io. You can turn off daily reminders in the app and manage notification and Photos permissions in the device settings. You can stop using Sign in with Apple with Rarest Krill as described above, and remove third-party access to your Google Account in your Google Account settings. You can delete your account at any time in the app or as described on the account deletion page.
If you are in the European Union, you can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in France, this is the CNIL (3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07).
